Why do blogs review a Fountain pen?

I often wonder why some reviews focus specifically on the author, especially when discussing fountain pens. Each person's writing experience is unique, shaped by individual pen handling, the pressure applied to the paper, and the nib's response. Reviews should prioritize the product itself rather than dwell on the personal narratives of the reviewers.

What I love most about stationery blogs are the photos. I enjoy browsing through them, dreaming, planning, and appreciating the joy the blogger experiences as they write. I guarantee that I will share as many photos as possible in my posts.

Human beings are inherently social creatures; we love to share our experiences and attempt to persuade others to see things from our perspective. Unfortunately, search engine algorithms influence the nature of our sharing and participation in our digital world. A significant discussion arose in 2014 when Google announced a new algorithm that dramatically affected low-traffic blogs. I had a food blog during that time, which attracted around 1,000 visitors daily. After the algorithm change, I lost 90% of that traffic, losing the motivation to share and write. This raised a fundamental question: should we write for the sake of search engines or pursue our joy in sharing?

I once had a friend who was a successful blogger focused on fountain pens, notebooks, and inks. Over time, she ceased to produce new content. While she didn’t strictly review each didn't, she shared engaging stories, knowledge, and a wonderful sense of harmony through her blog. Ultimately, she chose to update her blog template, and in the process, that vibrant world she had created disappeared. Like me, she lost her traffic and search engine rankings. Although the blog "Write to Me Often" is no “longer active, most" stationery enthusiasts still remember it. Zeynep can still be spotted at fountain pen events worldwide.

I particularly enjoyed her ink comparisons and reviews, which radiated joy and temptation, evident in her beautiful pictures.

While sharing stories is a unique way to convey one’s perspective and the tastes we experience at any given moment, the world is changing, including our behaviours and habits. For instance, I closed my social media accounts. I used to love exploring new concepts in the stationery world through Instagram. Still, I realized there is a hidden cost to spending excessive time on social media, and time is unpredictable. It’s crucial to remember that time is not free; we should always be mindful of how we spend it.

time equals life

My favorite quote is about defining the importance of time.

Many wise people think that time is endless and money is not. I always feel that time and health are more important than everything.
